Fun at Innocademy This Week…

CONGRATULATIONS to Lila and Eliot who participated in the Ottawa County Regional Spelling Bee in February! Well done!

Mr. Chad’s Middle School Connections class is back at it. This week they interviewed Mr. Jacob Veldheer of Veldheer Tulip Garden who taught us all about making wooden shoes!

Ms. Jessie’s 7th graders had a great time working on and performing a play based on the story of Rosa Parks.

Thank you to all of our guest readers that have shared stories with our classes, so far, this month! We are looking forward to many, many more!

Ms. Emily’s Art Friends (Ms. Rachel P’s class enjoyed pajama and peluche day and participated in an impromptu free drawing time to create illustrations of their stuffies!

Student Led Conference Sign Up

It’s time for Spring Student-Led Conferences! Teachers and students are excitedly preparing to share with you all the wonderful growth that has been accomplished this year!

Please follow the schedule below to sign up for a time to conference with your child’s teacher on either Wednesday, March 27th or Thursday, March 28th.

  • Families with 3 or 4 Innocademy Students, begin signing up Friday, March 15th.
  • Families with 2 Innocademy Students, begin signing up on Monday, March 18th.
  • Families with 1 Innocademy Student, begin signing up on Wednesday, March 20th.

Thank you for not signing up before your designated day. We intentionally give families with multiple children extra time to sign up for conferences, as coordinating between multiple teachers can be tricky!

Student Led Conferences – Could You Help Provide Dinner for Teachers?

Watch for sign-ups for our Spring Student-Led Conferences to be out, SOON! We are hoping that our families could, again, help provide a soup/salad dinner for our teachers on MARCH 27TH and sandwiches and fruit for lunch on MARCH 28TH.

Scholastic Book Fair Coming to Innocademy

It’s time for our annual Innocademy Spring Scholastic Book Fair. We need adult volunteers to help make this a success and bring more books and support to our school. The fair runs both during school and conferences the week of March 25th-28th

Theatre Club Starting – Open to 4th – 8th Graders

We are excited to launch an after school Theatre Club! The club will take place on Tuesday and Thursdays from 3:45pm to 4:30pm beginning April 8th until June 13th. This club is open to 4th grade to 8th grade students. Students who would like to participate must have the permission slip, below, signed and returned by March 22nd.

At the culmination of our activities, there will be a special performance for the school and parents to enjoy.
