Ms. Rachel W’s scientists experimented with a “grabber” they created. Their tool needed to be able to pick up an apple from a long distance away.

Mr. Chad’s Connections Class visited the Outdoor Discovery Center where they learned all about birds of prey.

THANK YOU for the Conference Meals!

Thank you to everyone who contributed to feeding our teachers and staff during conferences this week! You are so very appreciated!

THANK YOU Book Fair Volunteers!

Huge thanks to those of you who volunteered to help during the Book Fair this week! The only reason we are able to host cool things for our kiddos is because of our amazing parents who coordinate and volunteer their time! SPECIAL THANK YOU to Heather Volkema, Kate Nguyen and Brooke Dobberstein for their efforts to coordinate the fair, recruit volunteers and champion this event. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Welcome Deputy Zach!

Please help us in welcoming our new School Liaison Officer! Deputy Zach will be visiting our campus just as often as he can. He loves meeting new kiddos and families in our community. Feel free to introduce yourself if you see him out and about!

Innocademy School Pictures – THIS WEEK! October 10 & 11 – MakeUps on October 12th

We are so fortunate to have Christy Pacanowski of Embolden Studio taking school pictures for us, again, this year! These are not your standard, generic, low-quality school pics! If you’d like to check out her BEAUTIFUL work, please CLICK HERE. Christy will be with us on October 10th and 11th and taking EVERY student’s picture – – even if you are not ordering prints.

Once you have reviewed PICTURE INFORMATION and packages,  PLEASE MAKE SURE TO FILL OUT AND RETURN THIS FORM (your child will also bring one home from school) Even if you are not ordering pictures! Students should bring form and payment on picture day and give to their teacher. Your child’s teacher will contact you to let you know which day the class will be photographed.

If you have a sibling of an Inno student who you would also like photographed, please make sure to fill out the form and bring payment with you to the sibling session happening from 12:15 – 12:55 on Wednesday, October 11th.

Hearing and Vision Screening – Oct 23rd and 24th

On Tuesday, October 24th, they will be here for vision screening for grades 1st, 3rd, 5th and 7th. There is no screening for our kiddos in Transitional Kindergarten (Young 5s) or 6th grade.

Make-up day for both hearing and vision screening is Wednesday, November 29th.

If you choose to opt your child(ren) out of the screening, please go ahead and fill out THIS FORM and return it to the front desk prior to screening day.

Substitute Staff Needed

  • Do you enjoy helping children learn?
  • Do you have a flexible schedule?
  • Are you looking for ways to support our school?

If so, we are in need of adults who love to work with kids and have the time to help throughout the school day. Unfortunately, there is a shortage of substitutes right now all over the country.

If you have any interest and would like to discuss this further, please email Ms. Jessenia at jessenia.martinez@innocademy.com.

PBIS Prize Sign-Up – Donations Needed – Message From Ms. Kristin

Hello Parents, I am sure you have all heard about PBIS at Innocademy.  We are asking for your help to restock our prize bins with things that our students will be motivated to work for.  We have created a couple of Sign Up Geniuses, one for Y5-5 and one for 6-8.  If you would like, please sign up to purchase some of these things and either drop them off to school or send them in with your kiddo.  If you choose to donate towards the whole school celebration, we will keep an envelope at the front desk for this money.  Thanks for considering and for your help as we all work together to support all of our students! Items may be dropped off at the front desk for Ms. Kristin.

The program is called Exploring Engineering and STEM and is for tweens. Each month we focus on a different career area of STEM. The program meets once a month on Thursdays from 6:30-7:30 PM, usually at the North Branch Library located at 155 Riley Street in Holland. No need to sign up ahead of time, simply show up if you would like to attend.
