PENNY WAR THIS WEEK!

Today launches a fundraiser to support an animal refuge in Costa Rica. Our 8th graders take a capstone trip in April to Costa Rica. Part of this trip includes stewardship. Funds raised during this event allow students to support this organization through service such as painting, purchasing much-needed supplies for the animals, and even educational events for the community. At the end of this week, totals are tabulated, and the winning grade band gets to create a spirit week for all students to participate in.

In this week’s Penny War, all rolls of coins, $10 and $20 bills count as POSITIVE points for a grade band, while single coins, $1 and $5 bills can count NEGATIVE points toward that grade band. Kids have a great time depositing those “good” coins/paper $ into their own grade level jars while dumping the “Bad” single coins and dollar bills into their opponent’s jars.

In the end, ANY donation is a WIN for Refugio Animal! THANK YOU for participating!

MARCH LUNCH MENU CORRECTION

There is an error on the March menu. It shows lunch being served on Thursday, March 30, but that is a half day of school so there is no lunch that day.

PARENT ENGAGEMENT SURVEY

If you have not already done so, please take a moment to complete this revised parent engagement survey. Revised Survey by March 15th. We do only need one per family. If you have any questions please let the family engagement SR know.
