ATTENDANCE MATTERS

Please make sure your child is at school, ready to begin by 8:45 a.m. every day. Should your child be absent, please email attendance@innocademy.com and let your child’s teacher know the reason for their absence so they can share any missing work. If your child has a medical appointment, we must receive a doctor’s note in order for the absence to be excused. Thank you for your support in ensuring your child learns and grows with us this year. Every day counts for their academic success!

Please join us in welcoming Ms. Ashley to Innocademy. She will be teaching our Classic Elementary students as of Monday, February 27 as Ms. Liliana will be returning to Mexico.

Hello everyone, my name is Ashley Pommer and I’m your new elementary Spanish teacher! I’m originally from Bay City, and I taught Spanish there for over 20 years. I taught all levels of Spanish for Bay City Public Schools. I was recently married and moved to Holland to be with my husband Loren. Together we have five children, I have Ryley 21, Rhianna, 19, and Xander 16, and Loren has Kai, 23, and Jake 21. I’m excited to start my new adventure and career here at Innocademy! I love teaching and making a difference in children’s lives. I can’t wait to meet everyone!

If you are new to us this year or a returning family, please fill out this quick survey so that we work on setting you up with an account that links you to your child/ren. If you have one already and cannot remember login information please fill out this same survey. You will then receive an email from Ms. Heidi with your login information. When you are logged in, you will then click on the documents tab on the left and then click on report card.

Did you know that you may apply for lunch benefits at any time of the school year?

Situations change so don’t be hesitant to apply to this confidential resource.

Go to familyportal.cloud , use the drop-down (select Holland Christian as the district), and apply for Lunch Benefits. This is very easy, with no need to know your student’s ID number, and extremely confidential. For questions please contact Sue at 616-820-2934.

REMINDER: HOMESTEAD CAMPUS IS NUT FREE

We have students on campus who have severe allergies to nuts of any kind. Please use extra caution when packing snacks, bringing treats to school, and enjoying lunches so that we can keep all of our students safe.

HAND 2 HAND – SIGN-UP OPEN FOR THIS YEAR

OK, Hand2Hand is firing up again for the year, and attached is the sign-up form. A few things to know:

Hand2Hand is a weekly food bag distribution, provided by Vertical Church (yay to them for this partnership!!). Read the attachment for more info.
There are no qualifications, other than just signing and returning the form.
Bags are distributed on Thursday mornings and we attempt to put in lockers/cubbies during the lunch hour.
In order to receive the first delivery, forms must be returned to the front desk before the Labor Day break. However, families can continue to sign up throughout the year.
