Title 1 Information

Each year, our school typically holds a meeting with families to let you know about our Title I program.
At this meeting, parents also have an opportunity to provide feedback on the program and our parental involvement plans. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 situation, we will hold our Annual Title I meeting virtually this year. Please see the letter, below, for more information

Mask Reminder

In partnership with Ottawa County Department of Public Health, beginning Monday, August 23rd, all students, staff and visitors at IES schools who are 4 years of age and older are required to wear a mask while indoors until further notice.

OLD INFORMATION

Afternoon Dismissal – EAST PARKING LOT

We are so excited to welcome our Precademy families to campus beginning on Monday!

Please, please, please, if you park in the East parking lot between 3-3:30pm avoid parking in the entire area designated with the Precademy signs as those are reserved for families to access their littles being dismissed at 3:30 each day. Even though there is not a sign in every space, our intent is to reserve that entire area according to the map, below. Thank you, in advance, for your help!

Innocademy is once again partnering with Corpus Christi Catholic Schools in Holland once again for athletics! Registration for GRACEAC fall 2021 sports is now open! The following sports are offered for 5th-8th graders in the fall:

  • Girls Volleyball @Corpus Christi
  • Girls Sideline Cheer in Grand Rapids
  • Boys Football in Grand Rapids
  • Boys Soccer @Corpus Christi
  • Boys & Girls Cross Country @Corpus Christi

We are also happy to announce that we will be continuing to offer 3rd/4th-grade boys flag football and girls sideline cheer this fall after a successful launch to the two programs last fall. The cost to register is $95.00 per athlete. Registration for 3rd/4th-grade sports can be completed at the following link: https://go.teamsnap.com/forms/268572

For the Catholic United sports (football, cross country, sideline cheer, and flag football), we have created registration flyers that provide some additional information and details on how the programs operate. Those flyers are attached to this email. Please let me know if you have any questions and I can connect with the athletic director at Corpus Christi.

And finally, we do require each student to have an updated physical exam clearance form from their doctor on file at school. Please bring to the coaches or athletic office before or at the first practice.

What is PBIS?

Innocademy believes in a school-wide culture of caring as a foundation. We believe in nurturing the whole child, not just their academic success. We intentionally focus on each child’s academic, social, emotional, physical, and spiritual growth. Our learning environment reflects our values.

We have implemented the Positive Behavior Intervention and Support (PBIS) framework. The focus of this framework is to create a positive school climate that fosters being RESPECTFUL, RESPONSIBLE, RESILIENT, and SAFE. All students are deliberately and frequently taught these positive expectations and acknowledged when demonstrating these positive behaviors.

Research shows student learning and growth are positively impacted when the home and school work together. It would be valuable for you to use this common language at home and acknowledge times your child is demonstrating positive behaviors. This partnership conveys the importance of these concepts and encourages your child to BE RESPECTFUL, BE RESPONSIBLE, BE RESILIENT, and BE SAFE everywhere!

We look forward to working with you as true partners in your child’s education!

Positively yours, Innocademy Team

Donations Needed, Please =)

Each week throughout the school year we recognize students who have demonstrated responsible, respectful, resilient and safe behavior as part of our PBIS (Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports) Program. Students receive tickets for modeling these behaviors and are placed in a weekly drawing for small prizes. Last year teachers gave out more than 10, 700 tickets! Wow!!! If you would be willing to donate anything to our prize closet, we would be most appreciative! Donations can happen throughout the year as well! Examples of donations might be… small trinkets, snack size candy bars, etc. We also recognize a staff member each week and would appreciate any $5 giftcards to places such as Starbucks, Biggby, Target, wherever! =). Thank you for considering!
