OLD INFORMATION

NEWEST MASK INFORMATION – IS ANYTHING CHANGING AT SCHOOL?

Currently, the changes announced late this week do not impact us beyond the adjustments we have already made to our current mask policy.  All staff, teachers, and students will continue to wear masks as before while inside the building, during arrival/dismissal and outside if in a learning situation where kiddos are closely together for 10 minutes or more. Masks are optional during recess times.

We are continuing to engage with health department officials and other schools in our area, but expect to operate with these protocols in place until the end of the school year.

PARK PASSPORTS ARE HERE!

We believe in the power of outdoor education.  We have partnered with the Outdoor Discovery Center for three years now to help our teachers grow in their knowledge of outdoor education AND to grow curiosity, engagement, and care for the outdoors with every Inno kiddo!  We’d love to pass that passion onto your family with a copy of the ODC Park Passport….a tool to help you explore a variety of amazing places in our area this spring and summer.  We have printed one Park Passport for every Innocademy family and it will be coming home this week.  You can also find an introductory video and digital copy on the ODC website in both English and Spanish: https://outdoordiscovery.org/park-passport/

WE LOVE WARM WEATHER – (PLEASE KEEP IN MIND SCHOOL DRESS CODE =)

From our Innocademy Family Resource Guide…

Dress Code

Please help your student make sure that they are choosing appropriate clothing for school. Dresses and shirts should have a strap of at least two fingers (one inch) wide (no strapless, spaghetti straps, halters or side low-cut sleeveless shirts) and should completely cover the mid-section. SHORTS, dresses and other pants MUST BE AT FINGERTIP LENGTH OR LONGER WITH STUDENT ARMS RESTING AT THEIR SIDES. Pants must be worn at waist level. Students not meeting the dress code will need to change their clothing … either new from home or school-provided. School dress code is in effect for field experiences and may have additional guidelines appropriate for the experience. Hats are allowed. If a student wears hooded clothing, we ask that hoods remain down when indoors to encourage social and academic engagement. * Due to Covid-19 a mask, covering both mouth and nose, needs to be worn in the building.

DAYCARE STAFF NEEDED AT HOMESTEAD CAMPUS

We are looking for someone to join our Daycare Team.  This position would work 2-3 days per week.  Generally speaking, the staff daycare is open on days school is in session as well as staff Professional Development days.  The Daycare team provides care to our staff’s children.  The kids range from 12 weeks old to 5 years old.  Providing a nurturing environment for these little ones while mom/dad is working is the key to this role.  Responsibilities include caring for kids, feeding them, bringing them outside for playtime, etc.

Please email Sara in Human Resources if you are interested in more information on this position – her email is sara.vereeke@innocademy.com

HELP WANTED – PARAPROFESSIONAL NEEDED AT INNOCADEMY

We are looking for a parapro to join our team at Innocademy!  This position will work closely with a few students who need additional support throughout the school day.  The schedule for this position is 6 hours/day, Monday – Friday for days school is in session, plus a few Professional Development days during the year.  This is a great job opportunity for someone who loves kids, has some experience working with students in a school setting and wants to work a similar schedule to our school schedule.  The ideal candidate would have at least 60 college credit hours.  Please contact Sara at sara.vereeke@innocademy.com if you would like more information about this opportunity.
