Congratulations Future Engineers!

Because of their incredible performance at the State of Michigan Bridge Building Competition, Mr. Alvin and his team of Cilicia, Eshwar and Emorson were 1 of only 18 teams invited from the entire United States to participate in the NATIONAL Competition held in Salt Lake City, Utah! Wow!!! What an honor and they CRUSHED it placing 2nd in the NATION! Congratulations to these kids and Mr. Alvin!

The final judgement in Salt Lake….broadcast to us back here in Zeeland!

Anxiously watching our classmates compete!

Congratulations, Artists!

Six of our students have been selected to show artwork at the Grand Rapids Art Museum as part of the 50th Annual Festival of the Arts being held in Grand Rapids this next weekend.  Congratulations to Bryanna L., Abigail M., Rachel K., Sawyer D., Emma F., and Mackenzie N..  They will be honored at an Artist’s reception Thursday evening.  Many art activities are available this weekend and the full schedule of events are at festivalgr.org. We invite everyone to come and to see the Youth Art exhibit at the GRAM!

Maya from Facebook was an incredible authentic audience for our kids. And many took advantage of the opportunity and loved sharing what they learned. Also she was very impressed with our school. It’s fun telling people about some of the sweet things we do here.

Like learning about hot air balloons and practicing with models we make!

Ms. Monica’s scientists are learning about forces and motion!

Lunch Menu for June

8th Grade Graduation

8th Grade Graduation will be held on June 24th beginning at 6:30pm here at Homestead Campus. All are welcome to attend!

The link to After School Enrichment Session #8 sign up can be found below. As a reminder, on Thursdays, After School Enrichment will not be held. In its place is the Healthy Kids Club. This program is free of charge, but you must sign up for that date using the ASE sign up link.

Also, now that the end of the year is nearing (and kiddos won’t be in school on Fridays) I think that we will only do a movie day once every two weeks instead of once every three days. I’m hoping that the weather will make the transition from less indoor “movie time” to more outdoor activity time go smoothly.

Thinking About Preschool?

If you, or someone you know, is still interested in sending a little one to Precademy, we have a few openings, yet for the 19-20 school year! In addition to our yearly offerings, we are considering a 3 year old afternoon class – – depending on interest. A final decision will be made on that on June 28th. Please email Leisa at leisa.lobbezoo@innocademy.com or give her a call at 616-446-1486 for more information or to set up a tour!

Innocademy Showcase Information

Dear parents and students,

It’s show time! The Innocademy Spring Showcase is fast approaching and here is some valuable information about our special night. The program will be held at Community Reformed Church (10376 Felch St, Zeeland, MI 49464) at 7:00 p.m.

on WednesdayJune 19th

As in years past, we will hold our dress rehearsal at the church during the afternoon. All students who are involved with the program will be bussed to Community Reformed and should be picked up there at 3:30, the close of the school day. Due to the nature of this year’s performance, the only middle school students who are attending the rehearsal are choir students and Las Huellas middle school students. All  other middle school students will stay at the Homestead Campus.

A few of Ms. Jill’s piano students will provide a musical prelude. Doors will open at 6:30. Students should proceed to the gym at 6:45 to meet their teacher and line up. Family and friends may find seats in sanctuary to view student art work that will be digitally set to music.

If you are a parent of a youngest friend in Ms. Gina, Ms. Natalia, or Ms. Monica’s room, please meet your child on stage AFTER their performance to take them back to sit with you for the remainder of the program.

This program features the musical learning of ALL Innocademy classic students, Las Huellas students, and 5th – 8th grade middle school choir.

Lastly, don’t forget that this is a special occasion so please dress your best, and leave tennis shoes and jeans at home.

We are looking forward to sharing a wonderful evening of music and learning with you! If you have any questions regarding the Innocademy Spring Showcase, please feel free to contact Ms. Hillary at hillary.schmidt@innocademy.or or Ms. Kate at kate.webb@innocademy.org. Thank you!
