Extracurricular Activities

Extracurriculars Opportunities

We believe in nurturing the whole child—academically, socially, emotionally, physically and spiritually. Part of our holistic approach includes providing opportunities for students to explore their athletic talents and expand their motor skills outside regular school hours. Athletics also help develop the leadership skills we encourage in our students.

We offer athletic opportunities for 3rd-8th graders. Don’t see the sport or age bracket your student is interested in? Many of our current families connect with Zeeland Recreation for their children’s athletic opportunities.

Before & After School Clubs

Every fall, winter and spring term we offer several before and after school opportunities. Please note that our school clubs vary by grade level and term, operate on a first-come, first-serve basis and may require a fee to help cover necessary supplies. Some of these opportunities include:

  • Girls on the Run
  • Total Trek Quest
  • Gardening
  • Theatre
  • Board Games
  • Crochet
  • Arts & Crafts
  • Intro to Game Programing
  • Bookclub
  • Student Council

Girls on the Run

3rd-5th: Girls on the Run is an after-school running program that takes place in the spring. Girls train for a 5K as a team, building a sense of connection with each other while also building confidence and learning to recognize their individual strengths. Volunteer coaches facilitate lessons on how to live a healthy lifestyle physically, mentally and emotionally.

Total Trek Quest

Total Trek Quest is an after-school experiential learning program for boys in grades 3rd-5th. This program uses physical activity, goal-setting and healthy choices education as a way for boys to train for a 5K race. At the end of the 9-week program, participants race in a local 5K to celebrate their learning and physical growth.

Corpus Christi Catholic School Teams

To provide our students with a more competitive atmosphere and offer the most sports opportunities, we’ve partnered with Corpus Christi Catholic School. Our 5th-8th graders may participate in a variety of sports including, but not limited to, soccer, basketball, baseball, cross country, track and field, and tennis. This partnership allows our athletes to form new friendships and build teamwork skills by competing with and against area schools.

Athletic Forms

Student safety is our highest priority. In order to participate on an athletic team at the middle school level, you must complete the following forms. Please note individual teams or sports may require other forms. Those will come directly from the Athletic Director or the team’s individual coach.
