MASK UPDATE – OCTOBER 1ST
There has been activity at the State level these past couple of days with the Governor’s signing of the budget. The budget contained language surrounding mask orders and funding for local health departments. This caused some counties to rescind their mandatory mask orders for children ages 5-11.
OTTAWA COUNTY IS NOT RESCINDING ITS CURRENT ORDER.
| The current mask mandate issued by the Ottawa County Health Officer remains in effect until it expires by its own terms (60 days after a vaccine is available for those under 12 or the infection rate drops into the “low range”). |

To further clarify, this means that at Homestead Campus we will operate as we have been since the inception of the order; requiring cloth or paper face-coverings for all students, staff, and visitors until the order expires.

STUDENT LED CONFERENCES – OCTOBER 13 & 14
This year we will be hosting IN PERSON conferences on Wednesday, October 13th or VIRTUAL conferences on Zoom on Thursday, October 14th. You may choose whichever day you prefer.
Precademy will be hosting their own conferences and sign ups so please stay on the lookout for those, soon. These conferences are only for Innocademy students.
In order to provide larger families the opportunity to schedule conferences for their kiddos back to back, we open up the sign-ups to them, first. Please refer to the staggered sign-up, below, and only sign up when dates open for the number of children you have at Innocademy.
- Families with 3 students or more – Begin sign-ups on Friday, October 1st
- Families with 2 students – Begin sign-ups on Monday, October 4th.
- Families with 1 student – Begin sign-ups on Wednesday, October 6th.
- Sign ups will continue to be available until MONDAY, OCTOBER 11th AT 5PM

Hand 2 Hand
Once again we’ll be offering Hand2Hand food bags to any families who request them. Any forms returned by Tuesday can begin receiving food this week Thursday. Please read through the letter to learn how it works. Basically, this is what you need to know:
- Bags are delivered by lunchtime each Thursday and we try to discreetly put them in lockers
- If it’s break week, kids get two bags the Thursday before
- Bag is intended to be some weekend food for the student
- Vertical Church in Zeeland has made it their ministry to pack and deliver these, so big thanks to them!

Covid-19 Vaccine Clinic at Innotec – Open to All – October 7th
If you were hoping to receive the Pfizer or Johnson & Johnson vaccine, and are 12 years or older, the Ottawa County Health Department will be hosting a vaccination clinic at Innotec (441 E Roosevelt Ave #100, Zeeland, MI) on October 7th between 2-6p.m.
Please feel free to spread the word as this is open to everyone. You will have the option to choose between the Pfizer or Johnson & Johnson vaccine. If you elect for the Pfizer vaccine, you will be prompted to schedule your 2nd dose on-site on 10/28/21 as well. Masks are required at this event.
