HUGE LUNCH NEWS FOR EVERYONE; VIRTUAL AND IN PERSON LEARNERS

USDA has just announced FREE MEALS for ALL of our students through December 31, 2020 or until funding runs out. What does this mean for your student?

To be eligible your child must take a qualified meal, the components of a school lunch are the following: protein, fruit, vegetable, grain and milk. From those choices they must take 3 of the 5 choices, one of them being a fruit or vegetable. In grades K-12, all meals are prepackaged at this time, each meal package contains all 5 components. There is a choice of white or chocolate milk and if your child should have a milk allergy they do not have to take milk.

We are super excited about being able to offer free meals to our students, those that attend at Innocademy as well as our Virtual Learning and iCademy students. As always, our meals are served from kitchens that follow all of the COVID safety guidelines and are inspected frequently. Kitchens are also staffed by personnel who have been trained in serve safe handling. We take serving your student very seriously and want to provide nutritious meals for your kiddos. If you have any questions please email nmichaels@hollandchristian.org

NEW INFORMATION

VISITORS TO THE BUILDING

Thank you for adhering to the Michigan Return to School Roadmap Guidelines and not entering the building with your students each day. If/when there is a time your child will be late or needs to leave early, please…

  1. Communicate as normal with your child’s classroom teacher and/or Ms. Heidi
  2. When you arrive, communicate with Ms. Heidi through the intercom on the outside of the building
  3. Wait for your child outside – in the event of inclement weather, please wait for your student in the vestibule, between the double doors, but do not enter the lobby.

NUT FREE SCHOOL

We do have several students with severe nut allergies; both peanut and tree nut. In an effort to keep everyone safe, please do not send food containing nuts of any sort – or traces of nuts to school. Soy butter and Sun butter are great alternatives.

IMPORTANT – PARKING LOT REMINDERS

Thank you for observing super slow speeds and driving through the parking lots with extreme caution as we aim to protect our sweet kiddos and families.

Please remember that we do have several families who are in need of handicapped parking spaces on the sides of the building closest to the doors. It is critical that we keep these spaces free for them at all times. If you park in the lot, please always use the spaces within the lot, itself.

Please see the map below for traffic flow in each lot. In the interest of student safety and the sheer number of vehicles traveling through at arrival and dismissal times, it is CRITICAL that we follow the ONE WAY traffic flow at all times.
