January Lunch Menu

Help Wanted

Have you always wanted to work at Homestead Campus? Here’s your chance! The positions, below, are paid positions, not volunteer. =)

Lunchroom Help

We are currently looking for someone to help supervise the lunchroom.  Hours are approximately 11:30 – 1:15 pm Monday – Friday during scheduled school days.  The position could split by 2 people with each working 2 or 3 days per week.  Duties include overseeing students in the lunchroom, assisting students with lunch, organizing lunchroom exit, and cleaning up lunchroom.

Custodial Help

This position would be supporting the overall cleanliness and upkeep of the iCademy & Innocademy facilities for approximately 10 hours per week.  Responsibilities include vacuuming, trash disposal, and light cleaning.  Hours would occur in the evening outside of the regular school day.  This would be an ideal job for high school students looking for a part time job.

If you are interested in either of these positions, please email Sara at sara.vereeke@innocademy.com

Old Info…In Case You Missed it =)

Old Cell Phones/Tablets Needed

Old cell phones or tablets that are in working condition but no longer used for your family are needed!  We have been so thankful for some exciting grants and community connections that have provided amazing science and robotics equipment for our school.  In the coming months you may hear of your children driving and programing Lego Robots, Sphero robots, Quadcopters, Micro:bits, Science Labs, and much more!  However, to drive those programs, we need smartphones or tablets.  Many times when devices are upgraded, old devices collect dust in a drawer.  If that is true for you, we can turn those old smartphones and tablets (Regardless of former carrier) into amazing drivers of tech in our school.  We will strip them down with a factory reset (or would love it if you did that), so you do not have to worry about stored information on the device.  Questions? Please contact Mr. Chad at chad.zuber@innocademy.com  Thank you for considering!

Total Trek Quest (TTQ) Registration

TTQ is a fun, high energy program designed exclusively for boys in 3rd-5th grade! TTQ incorporates strength and stretching exercises with training for a 5K. Boys in this program will develop positive peer relationships and feel apart of a team while working toward individual goals. Additional practice activities focus on developing a healthy lifestyle, social/ relationship skills, how to make healthy decisions, and being proud of who they are.

Cost is $45.00, scholarships are available. If you have any questions, or concerns regarding the online registration process, or need a scholarship, please contact Brandon Melnyk at 616-450-4651 or bmelnyk@arborcircle.org

18-19 Innocademy Yearbook Info

The ’18 – ’19 Yearbook is starting to come together, but we need your help!

Last year’s books were hardcovers at $20 each. Unfortunately, prices have been raised this year overall.

We would also like the chance to include more information, pictures, and memories in this year’s book by adding more pages. Please take the survey at the link below so that we can offer the book that most families will be interested in!

Orders places during the open house night earlier this year will still be honored. Questions? Please contact Ms. Kate at kate.webb@innocademy.com

School Closings & Delays

Sad to say we are coming upon the season where weather delays/cancellations may be necessary. If a cancellation happens, it includes after school activities and events. If a delay happens, we will begin school at 11am instead of 9am. There will only be Option #1 for hot lunch that day. When Zeeland Public Schools makes the call to delay or cancel school, we always follow suit. We try to pass along that information as soon as we are aware. Here’s how we will pass along that information to you:

  • Rained Out Text to families
  • Email to families
  • Facebook Notification
  • Broadcast on WZZM
  • Broadcast on WOOD TV-8

If you have not yet signed up for the Rained Out Text messaging system, please simply enroll by:

  • Opening your messaging app on your phone
  • Type 84483 in the “to” section of messages
  • In the “message” section, type innocademy
  • Press “send”

You should receive a message back indicating you are now part of the group! Easy!
