Our fish hat designs are coming together for the Pumpkinfest. Second grade has been designing hats Inspired by the story This is Not My Hat. Their designs will be on display in downtown Zeeland. They drew ideas and then made prototypes out of K’nex and Cardboard. Sadly only the drawings will be on display.

Visiting Art Prize

We are really excited to visit Art Prize this week Friday, September 28th! Please make sure your kiddos dress in layers for the day as well as wear comfy shoes designed for LOTS of walking! If your student is traveling with Innocademy Staff, please make sure they have a sack lunch labeled with their name (everything should be disposable for this day, please). If you ordered a lunch, that will be delivered to students that morning before we leave.

Scholastic Book Fair is Coming!

We are excited to invite everyone to our Scholastic Book Fair being held the week of October 8th! Huge thanks to Carolyn Fitzgerald for coordinating! The book fair will be open for students to visit, first, and then another time for purchase, if they wish! The book fair will also be open during the evening of conferences. In order to be “open” we need volunteers to help staff it – – no experience necessary! Family Stewardship Opportunity

The Alliance for The Great Lakes is Adopting Beaches!

Grab your family or friends, bring a bucket or trash bag and jump on in to the Adopt a Beach Event starting at 10:00 am on October 6 at Tunnel Park in Holland.

Hot Lunch Payments

Just a friendly reminder to add money to your students’ lunch accounts if they are planning to order hot lunch. You may utilize sendmoneytoschool.com or send in cash or checks to school in a labeled envelope with your child and deposited behind Ms. Heidi’s desk. Checks can be made payable to Holland Christian Food Service.

If you haven’t yet had an opportunity to see if you qualify for free/reduced cost lunch, please fill out this confidential, online form at lunchapp.com . For school district, select Holland Christian and Innocademy will be listed as a school under that district.

If you’ve qualified in the past and are hoping to qualify again this year, you must fill out the form in order to receive benefits. If you applied last year and have been receiving free/reduced lunch yet this year, the benefits are scheduled to end on September 30th if you do not reapply.

Pizza Extra Slice Price = $1.50

After School Enrichment – Session #2

After School Enrichment runs everyday from 3:30-5:30pm. You can sign up ahead of time ($12 per day) with the link, below, or use it as an emergency drop in ($14). It’s available every day that we have full days of school; not on 1/2 days or professional development days or break weeks.

A Note From Ms. Katie – Health Advisory Board

Hello parents and welcome back to school! We are starting back up the Innocademy Health Advisory Board and are currently looking for more members! If you are not already on the board and are interested in going please email your name to Katie.wilson@innocademy.com. I will then send out the first September meeting date (still finalizing). Would YOU Like To Work At Our Campus?

Daycare:  We have an opening for 2-3 days per week in our staff daycare.  Responsibilities include caring for children 3 months – 4 years old including feeding, changing, playing with them inside and outside.  Hours are approximately 8:30 – 4:30 pm (Mondays till 5:30 pm)

Afterschool Enrichment:  We have an opening for a 2 day per week Afterschool Enrichment Coordinator.  Responsibilities include supervising school-aged kids in a structured after school program that includes group games/activities, outdoor play, and reading /homework time.  Hours are 3:30 – 5:45 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
